Abdullah joined Saudi Aramco on March, 1981. He graduated from the University of South Western Louisiana with Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineer. Throughout his career, he worked both in offshore and onshore fields as a design engineer, maintenance engineer, operation engineer , facility and project engineer. For the last 25 years, he specialized on the Artificial lift technology; specially in the field of the Electrical Submersible Pumps and the Gas Lift. He developed major Saudi Aramco fields for Artificial Lift where the production went up 4 times more in some fields. He led several conferences/forums as a chairman including MEALF 2009 & 2011. He is currently the President and the CEO of the Intelligent Oil & Gas Solutions.

Abu Elfotouh Naser is a Petroleum Engineer graduated from the Faculty of petroleum engineering in Egypt in 2004 with honor.
Master studying in Artificial Lift, Master degree in business administration from IBSS, Denmark.

Ali Izzidien is a Chartered Petroleum Engineer (CEng) with over 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He is currently the ESP Operations Manager for the Rumaila field. He holds an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London, and an MEng in Electronics from The University of York.

Dr. Amir Alwazzan is the Production Assurance Manager – Strategy & Planning with Dragon Oil. He has more than 36 years of blend of corporate, technical and managerial experience gained from working for several international E&P, Service and EPCI companies and academia at different locations worldwide. Dr. Alwazzan has authored or coauthored several technical papers and has been serving as technical reviewer for three international peer-reviewed journals in the field of Petroleum Engineering Science and Technology. He has also been serving as a member of the JPT Editorial Review Board, Distinguished Lecturer Committee and an external examiner of three universities in the USA, Iraq and Malaysia. Dr. Alwazzan is a Chartered Petroleum Engineer and a registered European Engineer with FEANI, the European Federation of National Engineering Associations. Dr. Alwazzan holds a PhD degree in Transient Multiphase Flow in Pipelines from the University of Malaya, Malaysia and MS and BS degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Baghdad University, Iraq.

Eissa Al-Safran is a professor of petroleum engineering (PE) and the former vice dean for research and academic affairs at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University. Al-Safran is currently an adjunct professor of PE at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (NMT). Al-Safran was a visiting professor at the Nuclear Science and Engineering Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he taught a graduate course and co-supervised PhD students. He was also a visiting research professor at the PE departments at the University of Tulsa (TU) and NMT. Al-Safran is the founder and director of the Kuwait University Petroleum Production Int. Collaborative Research Program and co-founder and associate director of the NMT Production and Drilling research consortium. He earned a BSc. (1995), MSc. (1999), and Ph.D. (2003) degrees in PE, and an MSc. degree in mathematics and science education (2003), all from TU. Al-Safran worked as a reservoir engineer and production engineering consultant at Kuwait Oil Company. He is the co-author of the SPE book Applied Multiphase Flow in Pipes and Flow Assurance-Oil and Gas Production and has authored and co-authored more than 120 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications in oil and gas production, multiphase flow in pipes, and flow assurance.

Al-Safran is serving on the international technical advisory committee of the Multiphase Production Technology Conference series, and the editorial board of the J. of Geoenergy Sci. and Eng (formerly known as J. of Petroleum Sci. and Eng). Al-Safran received the regional Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) 2017 Distinguished Achievement for Petroleum Engineering Faculty Award, the regional SPE 2019 Production and Operations Award, the international SPE 2020 Distinguished Membership Award, the regional SPE 2021 Service Award, the international SPE 2022 Production and Operations Award, and the international SPE 2023 Distinguished Services Award. In addition, he received the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) 2016 Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Award, TU Thomas C. Frick Outstanding Academic Achievements Award, and other awards. Al-Safran is the SPE KU student chapter faculty advisor, SPE Middle East Advisory Council member, SPE E4Me program ambassador, SPE League of Volunteers member, and a former SPE Kuwait section board member. He served on several SPE committees and events, and he is a member of SPE, ASME, ASA, and ASEE.

Dr Mubarak Al Alawi is the Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering for Training and Community Service and an assistant professor of Construction Engineering and Management at Sultan Qaboos University. Dr. Mubarak earned his PhD and MEng degrees in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Alberta, Canada, in 2011 and 2017, and a BEng degree in Civil Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University in 2009. He has been a supervisor, co-supervised, and a thesis committee member for many MSc students. Carried research in construction engineering and management, safety sciences, sustainability, and education and received multiple research grants. Dr. Mubarak served on national, university and college–level committees and participated in organizing various conferences. He is acknowledged by the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education as an external reviewer of higher education institutions’ programs.
